Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween:
Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor.  This Halloween my friends and I decided to be the cast from the movie/book "The Hunger Games"

My Costume:
I went as Effie Trinket from the Movie/Book, and creating my outfit was so easy and cheap.  I borrowed a pink dress from a friend of mine, the pink hat, tutus, and pearls were from my mothers Photo Booth collection (Which is always good to have one), my ring and shoes, and for the hair my roomie teased my hair... A LOT.  All that I bought for this costume was the pink hair spray and the pink fake eye lashes.  Overall I probably spent $8!!

Hope you Enjoyed!

A trip to The Pumpkin Patch

A trip to the pumpkin patch:
So like every parent, I wanted to take my baby girl to her first ever pumpkin patch.  However unlike most parents Im talking about my dog Maggie.  It was her first time ever to go to the pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin. So heres our day!

First we scoped out the pumpkins.

Then we measured ourselves! Yay we passed the first mark!

Then we played with a couple of animals...

Grandma came to!

Maggie played in a corn patch with the other children.

Posed on a hay bell

And finally picked our pumpkin!

Happy fall Y'all!
Hope you Enjoyed!

Homemade Chicken Alfredo

Homemade Chicken Alfredo:
This is such a fun post to me because this was such a fun night for me! I had a date the other night and the guy killed it! We cooked together a Homemade Chicken Alfredo.  It was by far the best Chicken Alfredo I have ever had. And today I can't wait to share it with you!

So first cook your noodles and chicken as you normally would and make sure that your chicken is in bite size pieces.

For the sauce you need three tablespoons of olive oil, two tablespoons of minced garlic, flour, salt, pepper, and milk. You add flour slowly and little by little for thickness. Then you add half a cup of milk slowly while stirring. Wait till it hits the thickness you want then done!

Next wash your asparagus and lay on a baking sheet.  Drizzle one tablespoon of olive oil on the asparagus then a pinch of salt and pepper. Then slice a half of a lemon and lay slices across asparagus as shown.  Bake at 450, for 20 minutes.

When all is done cut up a fourth of the asparagus and mix the asparagus, chicken, noodles, and sauce together.  The rest of the asparagus is for a side item if desired.

Hope you Enjoy!

Guide to Decorating a Pumpkin

A guide to decorating a pumpkin:
So I like to think of myself as a unique person, I try not to be like everybody else and I definitely have a unique style.  No matter what I do throughout life I try to make it unique as well. The other day I went to the pumpkin patch with my baby girl (my dog Maggie) ((It was her first time)) and we picked our pumpkins for fall.  Obviously I couldn't just get a regular pumpkin, thats not in my nature. I already knew that I wanted a white one, so my next step was I had to find the most odd shaped one possible...

Then I had to figure out what I wanted to do with my pumpkin... Once I had an idea all I needed was:
  • Gold Glitter
  • Glue
  • Paint brush
  • Plate
  • Pumpkin

First paint on the Glue

Then add your glitter of choice.

Then Yay! You're finished!

Maggie loved getting her pumpkin by the way!
Hope you enjoyed!

Fall for Fall Y'all!

Its Fall Y'all:

Its finally here y'all! Its fall time, my favorite time of year. Why? well when living in the South it can get pretty hot.. fall weather is so nice and cool, yet not too cool. The leaves in the trees that surround us change into these beautiful fall colors such as: red, orange, yellow, and even brown can be pretty.
Not to mention the amazing smells that blow in the wind.  AND THE CLOTHES! OH I JUST LOVE THE CLOTHES!! lots of boots and scarves and hats and jackets and sweaters.... ahh its just amazing!
However I must say that decorating is by far my most favorite part of fall. My mother is such a wonderful decorator and I am currently studying to be an interior decorator. So when you put the two of us together... well this happens. Hope you enjoy!

Happy Fall Y'all!
