DIY Smoothie?

So I was nannying over the summer for two boys... I know bless my heart. Anyways we often got bored and tried to think about fun things to do. One day the youngest of the two asked if we could make smoothies. I had never made one before and neither had he. So we went into the kitchen to see what we could use to make one... going by no recipe heres how it went.

We used pineapples, strawberries, milk, lemon juice, honey, milk, and yogurt.

We blended it all together with ice.

And it was shockingly good!

Homemade Chicken Alfredo

Homemade Chicken Alfredo:
This is such a fun post to me because this was such a fun night for me! I had a date the other night and the guy killed it! We cooked together a Homemade Chicken Alfredo.  It was by far the best Chicken Alfredo I have ever had. And today I can't wait to share it with you!

So first cook your noodles and chicken as you normally would and make sure that your chicken is in bite size pieces.

For the sauce you need three tablespoons of olive oil, two tablespoons of minced garlic, flour, salt, pepper, and milk. You add flour slowly and little by little for thickness. Then you add half a cup of milk slowly while stirring. Wait till it hits the thickness you want then done!

Next wash your asparagus and lay on a baking sheet.  Drizzle one tablespoon of olive oil on the asparagus then a pinch of salt and pepper. Then slice a half of a lemon and lay slices across asparagus as shown.  Bake at 450, for 20 minutes.

When all is done cut up a fourth of the asparagus and mix the asparagus, chicken, noodles, and sauce together.  The rest of the asparagus is for a side item if desired.

Hope you Enjoy!

Football Tailgating Fiesta!

A Football Fiesta!

Let's have a fiesta! Football games are so much fun, and we're here in the core of the season.  One of the best parts of football is the tailgating and there are so many great ways to tailgate.  Today I want to tell you about my football fiesta tailgate...

Thank you Old El Paso!
First off, my tailgate wouldn't be complete without Old El Paso and Avocados from Mexico found at Publix. My most recent tailgate was a Mexican Fiesta completed with a few friends.  At our tailgate we made tacos using Old El Paso taco seasoning and shells, Guacamole, salsa and queso.

Cooking!
~With our meat, my fellow blogger friend Malan from Moonie-Mag Malan , cooked the meat till done and added our Old El Paso taco seasoning.
~I made the guacamole using my Avocados from Mexico. I pilled them, smooshed them, then added two tablespoons each of salsa and sour cream, then stir and done!

Fiesta!
This Fiesta was a HUGE success with my friends, and we had such an amazing time.  We will definitely be using Old El Paso and these amazing Avocados from Mexico for future tailgates.  After a night full of food, fun, and games we look forward to the next big event!

Monday Funday!

Strawberry Time:
Oh my goodness, if you know me you know that I absolutely LOVE strawberries! I will eat them with/on/in/anything.  So lately I had one of my roommates give me an idea.  She knew how much I loved dipping strawberries in white chocolate.  So she said why not you cut the stems off and drop the whole thing in the chocolate.... BRILLIANT! Obviously it needed a little more thought otherwise it would be extremely messy.  So here is what I came up with:

Here is what you need:
Plate
Knife
Strawberries (Obviously)
Your choice of chocolate
Toothpicks
Bowl

Cut the stems off the strawberries, then cut them in half.

Melt your Chocolate. I melt mine in 30 second periods, it makes it the way I like it!

Take the toothpick and put in through the strawberry down the middle. Then dip the strawberry in the chocolate.  Be careful to not slide the strawberry off the toothpick while dipping.

Pretty!

I dipped a couple regular strawberries for the edge of the plate to make it pretty and have options! These are great for parties or showers, or any holiday.

Hope you enjoyed!
