The Time I Was Mom for a Weekend!

The Time I Was Mom for a Weekend:
This was such a great weekend. I had my eldest nephew come for a visit in Auburn for a weekend.  Just me and my chunky monkey. I was so excited to show him the ropes of auburn and what a great place it is. First, however, I took him to his first Braves baseball game ever in Atlanta. It took him a while to catch on that he wasn't at a movie but at a game:) That tuckered the little guy out pretty fast but he had such an amazing time.

The next day we went to Hickory Dickory Park, which I must say is the most amazing kid park I've ever seen. There was so much to do and he just kept saying over and over "I love Hickory Dickory Park Macmac". After that we got some yummy cheeseburger cheeseburger, got our picture in front of the Auburn sign and shopped around a little downtown.

Yea my little man had a great time and so did I!

Wedding Flowers!

Wedding Flowers:
Here's you something funny, I don't know a thing about flowers but got to do some for a wedding here a while back. I would love to know what you think about them.

First we ordered a ton a flowers from Sam's we were amazed at how beautiful they were!

We bought water foam, it absorbs water and then when you stick the flowers in it its like sticking them in water. It helps keep your flowers alive longer.

Next we taped a few of them to white bowls to do a few flower arrangements in there.

Others we taped onto a plate and made arrangements and placed them on top of beautiful glass jars.

With these we tied them into bouquets and placed them in smaller glass containers filled with water.

We used giant white urns with large Styrofoam taped down and put both real and fake flowers in them. This piece is what sat behind the bride and groom during the wedding. I would love to know what you think, or any tips you might have for next time!
