Lets Get Fit Together!

Alrighty ladies and gents let's get going!

Let's be real for a second...
Working out is not "fun".
Working out does not make you feel "great".
Working out doesn't make you look "younger"

So now let me tell you a story!
Running? walking? Ha! never ever could you find me out running or walking.  I refused to do anything active literally till this year. Now I did take dance till I was 17 years old so I did get my exercise for most of my life.  However after that you could not pay me to do any type of exercise.  Then when I came to college all of my friends went to the gym and worked out on a daily bases. This was really strange for me, they always were encouraging me to go with them but I never did.
One night, I just up and decided to go on a walk around campus, next thing I know I was going every night.  By no means was it fun, did I feel great, or look younger... But I got to clear my head, and I felt more relaxed. And who knows maybe those things listed above do happen... just not yet. But never in a million years did I think I could go as far as I have!
I can honestly say I am very proud of myself!

So I challenge my ladies and gents to get out and to get active!

Tell me your story!

  1. I am right with ya sister! I actually use to weigh over 200 lbs. I'm 5'5. The moment I put my mind to it, I lost 80 lbs total. Since my major weight loss, I've only put 25-30 lbs of that back on. I'm actually challenging myself for the month of July to not eat ANY processed foods and to get more exercise. I'm really hoping that I can go an entire month without sweets...they're my downfall.

  4. I agree, at first working out feels like a pain and a chore. But after a few weeks, it becomes a habit and you feel awful and incomplete if you haven't gone to the gym!

  5. I really struggle with cardio! I just couldn't push myself enough. I recently joined spin classes! I figured if a room full of people with such high energy music isn't enough to get me going, it would the embarrassment of being the only one stopping. it was so incredibly hard to do at first but now I am just loving it!

  8. In the beginning, I felt the same way....Exercise gives me energy, no way, I couldn't wait to get home and find the nearest couch...lol. It took a while but I do feel the energy I have when I workout on a consistent basis...Kudos to you and keep it up...

  13. It depends on what I'm doing to work out. If it's a hike (or an outside activity), I enjoy it, spending time in creation. If it's an indoor activity, it's hit or miss. But every time I work out, I am glad I did so.
